What is pet euthanasia?

This is the most humane way of ending your pet’s life. It is considered only as a last resort, after all efforts of treating your pet’s terminal illness or chronic pain have been exhausted. If your pet has a very poor quality of life, can no longer eat or relieve themselves on their own, then euthanasia may be considered. You and your family will have the final choice.

How does pet euthanasia work?

It is completely painless. We have a private area in our practice dedicated exclusively to these procedures. You will have privacy and the opportunity to be with your pet until the very end if you wish to do so. The euthanasia drug is injected intravenously. First, it will cause your pet to fall asleep. Then, it will shut down their organs in a systemic way. It is over in a few minutes and your pet will feel zero discomfort all throughout.
