Veterinarian and Associate Vet Doctors
Our team is led by Director of the World Animal Protection (WAP), Dr. Oliver Sterbinsky who has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1993. His philosophy is that “There is nothing more satisfying than knowing your team consistently works together to improve the quality of life of all pets and their families.” In addition to our veterinary medical director, we also have a team of associate veterinarians who provide assistive care at Jane Animal Hospital.
These vet doctors include Dr. Amina Johnson, Dr. Jeff Odell, and Dr. Meaghan roque. Through the care of this vet team, we are able to provide an array of services. This includes pet dentistry, spay/neuter, pet surgery, preventative care, microchipping, and emergency care. We also offer routine pet exams, as well as pet vaccinations to protect your pet's well-being.
Veterinary Technician Services
A veterinary technician provides assistance with diagnostics including imaging and lab work. These are the nurses of the veterinary world, and the individuals who will give your pet the utmost attention when they come in for a checkup or treatments. We have a team of vet tech consisting of Brigitte, Christina, Stacey, Andreia, Melanie, and Danielle all of whom serve as veterinary technicians. If you have questions about diet, exercise, medication, or treatments when you bring your pet to the Jane Animal Hospital, most likely you will receive aid by one of these helpful people.
Client Relations Team
Pets are the center of attention here at our veterinarian in Toronto, but we also want to create a healthy relationship with our pet owners. We have a senior client relation specialist named Emilie, along with a team of client relation specialists that include Yasmin, Veronica, Stephanie, and Kaitlin. Our client relations team coordinates appointments, handles bill paying, and provides the personal touch that you come to expect at the Jane Animal Hospital. Our team of specialists provides our clients with a comfortable yet professional vet experience, for each and every vet visit.

Dr. Oliver SterbinskyMedical Director
Dr. Oliver Sterbinsky graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 1993. He loves the day to day interactions with his employees, clients, and patients. He is also a director on the board of WAP (World Animal Protection Canada).
Dr. Sterbinsky enjoys triathlons and spending time with his family. He participates regularly in a variety of charity events such as Spin for breast cancer awareness and research, Tour for Kids and MS Climbs. Dr. Sterbinsky is also the proud owner of a beautiful and energetic Aussiedoodle named Maya.

Dr. Amina JohnsonAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Johnson graduated from Tufts University of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She enjoys meeting clients and discovering more about our pet community. In her off time, Dr. Johnson can be found chasing her 3 kids and her cats! She also enjoys swimming and yoga.
Dr. Jeff OdellAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Odell graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998. Dr. Odell comes with plenty of emergency room experience. He loves having the chance to make a difference in the lives of his patients and their families. Jeff also enjoys rollerblading, playing hockey, and camping.
Dr Meaghan RoqueAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Meaghan Roque is a 2019 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College and she is excited to begin her career as a veterinarian with the Jane Animal Hospital team! She began volunteering at veterinary clinics when she was thirteen years old and has never looked back. Meaghan has a quirky black cat named Trudy who she helped nurse back to life after she was found as a stray kitten. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, volunteering her skills at animal shelters, and exploring the city.

Dr Stefanie ShatskyAssociate Veterinarian
Stefanie Studied biological sciences at the University of Guelph. She then Specialized in veterinary medicine at University College Dublin Stefanie adopted a cat, Thomas, from the Dublin SPCA. He was originally meant to be just a foster kitten, but he stole her heart.
Stefanie has a soft spot for miniature schnauzers, as the breed has been a favorite of her family for years. She also loves birds and grew up with Budgies and a schnauzer as a child. Stefanie loves to practice Ashtanga yoga, hiking and traveling.
I am passionate about general practise and hope to be able to care for an animal through its life from their very first vaccinations to senior care. I am lucky to work with animals everyday and love meeting new clients and their pets.

Claudia graduated from the Veterinary Technician program of Seneca College. She has a cat, Theo, who loves to eat and fetche. Claudia loves to read, practice yoga and watch Netflix!

Danielle has a degree in psychology from East Carolina University and she also completed the Veterinary Technician program at Cedar Valley College. She rescued Jax, a puppy she found on the side of the highway when he was 1 month old. Danielle had a University scholarship to play soccer for 4 years at East Carolina University. She spends most of her free time watching movies and working out.

Andreia graduated from the Veterinary Technician program of Georgian College. She is very passionate about working in the veterinary field and loves to see animals lives enriched. She usually keeps her hands full caring for 3 cats with disabilities. Her favourite part of working in this industry is assisting the doctors in surgery. When Andreia is not working she loves discovering new shows on Netflix and taking time off to travelling to Portugal.

Jahan has over 10 years of experience in the veterinary industry. Jahan has a passion for veterinary care and horseback riding. She owns a senior cat, Gonzo and a wonderful gentle giant of a Shepherd named Marshall. Jahan enjoys spending time with her little family, cottaging, reading, and writing. Jahan practices yoga and loves to cook in her downtime. Her signature and favourite dish to make is curry.

Abi has 5 years of experience in the animal industry. Abi has a passion for their health, happiness and care. At home she has a cat, hedgehog, chinchilla and a group of crested geckos. In her spare time she enjoys video games, soccer, and spending time with friends.
RobynClient Relations Specialist
Robyn graduated with a bachelors degree from York University in psychology and is currently going back to school to specialize in HR management at McMaster University. Robyn has always had a love for animals and growing up she spent most summers on her uncle’s farm. Robyn says that working in the veterinary industry is the perfect fit for her. She loves the fact she gets to meet adorable animals all day while continuing to interact with customers, which she loves to do. Since Robyn currently does not have pets of her own she especially enjoys working with animals all day. Robyn is enthusiastic about getting to know all the animal's unique personalities and thinks that this is a great fantastic environment to work in.

JadeClient Relations Specialist
Jade has always had a passion for animals and nature. She started horseback riding when she was 6 years old and never looked back. Jade enjoys hiking with her dogs, preferably in the warmer months of the year. She spends her time off with her fiancé and friends either snowboarding or snuggled up with a good book.
“ I always felt connected to horses and so working in a clinic with animals seemed like perfect fit for me.”
Yasmin first volunteered at a vet clinic when she was 16 years old. She always had a passion for animals and wildlife and was also fascinated with the surgery process. Growing up in Guelph, she would come home every spring with injured birds, frogs, mice and one time a whole bunch of baby ducks. Yasmin has also studied journalism at Humber College. Yasmin really enjoys spending time with animals and developing a relationship with their owners. Yasmin has two French bulldogs, a beautiful cocker spaniel, 2 cats and a menagerie of reptiles. My partner and I have a whole room in their house dedicated to reptiles.
Yasmin grew up in the arts and developed a passion for dancing, acting, and singing. She has a band that goes under the name Yasmin Soul. She writes stories, poems, and songs. She is incredibly outdoorsy so most weekends you will find her fishing, hiking or camping.

Chloe is a grade 12 student enrolled at Humberside Collegiate Institute. She loves working in the veterinary industry. She had the opportunity to attend a zoo camp where She worked alongside a resident elephant and its caregiver providing daily care, feeding, bathing, and grooming.
Chloe has two pets, a cat and a dog. Her dog is 11 years old and her name is Finnegan, she is a soft-coated wheaten terrier. She also has a cat, Toad. He is 11 and a half-month-old grey and white tabby cat. Toad was rescued, and was infested with worms, but was able to nurture them, and he made a full recovery. Toad was 5 months old when we adopted him, and he has become a great companion for our older dog.
Chloe’s main hobby is reading and participated in physical activity such as swimming, cycling, running, or walking. She loves the outdoors and staying active.
'My favorite aspect of working in this industry would be the joy of helping others. This entire industry was built around providing care, assistance, and guidance to owners and their beloved pets. People’s pets are their family members and they have entrusted us with their loved ones, which though is a big responsibility, it ends up feeling great when you can hand back their pet and see the happiness on their face when their companion is back to being healthy and happy again.'
After completing 3 years of an undergraduate degree in Biomedical science at the University of Guelph, Ben was accepted early into the Ontario Veterinary College. He has already completed 2 years of his Veterinary Bachelor degree, with an interest in Internal Medicine and Radiology. He has worked in general practice in Oakville as a Veterinary Assistant, as well as in the Companion Animal Referral hospital at OVC. Ben has also worked at a Bicycle shop as a sales rep and at Beaver Valley Ski Club as a freestyle ski coach! Ben is a proud pet parent of a 12-year-old Australian Labradoodle named Griffin, who spends most of his time asleep in his special spot on the couch or on the floor. I love to spend my spare time skiing, playing basketball, reading books, or binge watching a good TV show.

Tara is a second year Biomedical Science student at the University of Guelph. She has a 5-year-old rescue cat named Lala. Tara loves to play volleyball for her university team. In her free time, she like to learn about nutrition and go on walks.
